My blog - Speaking my mind aloud..

Since my school days I had this feeling of a writing a diary, but it never really happened. I just collected diaries from my father and after scribbling a few lines utilized the rest for solving some maths problems or making notes.

Just a few months back while chatting with a friend, he suggested that I should start blogging. I was little apprehensive initially as I wasn't sure about what should I write (which I am still not) and finally decided that I would write about any random thoughts that come to my mind.

So here I blog and what you would follow on this blog are the reflections of my mind on things relating to this world so I can have a good laugh when I re-read them some years down the line...

Funny Leave/Job applications

This post is a funny email I had received a long time back. They are collection of leave and job applications.

Hope you like them..

1) "Since I have to go to my village to sell my land along with my wife, please sanction me one-week leave."

2) This is from an employee who was performing the "mundan" ceremony of his 10 year old son:
"As I want to shave my son's head, please leave me for two days.."

3) Leave-letter from an employee who was performing his daughter's wedding:
"As I am marrying my daughter, please grant a week's leave.."

4) Leave-letter from an employee who was supposed to perform the last rites of his mother-in-law
"As my mother-in-law has expired and I am only one responsible for it, please grant me 10 days leave."

5) Employee applying for half day
"Since I've to go to the cremation ground at 10 o-clock and I may not return, please grant me half day casual leave"

6) Another Leave application
"I am suffering from fever, please declare one day holiday."

7) A leave letter to the headmaster:
"As I am studying in this school I am suffering from headache. I request you to leave me today"

8) Another leave letter written to the headmaster:
"As my headache is paining, please grant me leave for the day."

9) Covering note:
"I am enclosed herewith..."

10) Another one:
"Dear Sir: with reference to the above, please refer to my below..."

11) Letter written for application of leave:
"My wife is suffering from sickness and as I am her only husband at home I may be granted leave".

12) A candidate's job application:
"This has reference to your advertisement calling for a ' Typist and an Accountant - Male or Female'... As I am both for the past several years and I can handle both with good experience, I am applying for the post.

A Few Lessons from Life

1) Criticism doesn't always bring the best in the people, it can discourage and put them off completely . Choose wisely

2) Office politics..Try not to get involved and affected by it

3) Think before you speak and don't speak when you are angry as you arent in the right frame of mind to think. Wounds created by harsh words may never heal.

4) First impressions can be misleading. After all they are based on our mindset and prejudices.

5) Find time for yourself to do things you love to

6) Show affection, love for the people you care about. Express your emotions

7) If you have a problem, talk and sort it out rather than not speaking at all.

8) Money is not everything in life. What you feel has nothing to do with how much you have.

9) Money has no memories, experience has.. you don't remember know how much you spend on your education, but you remember your school days, college days and the friends you made.

10) Life is beautiful, don't let circumstances and society fool you into believing its not.

11) No matter what Life goes on.

12) When you are feeling helpless remind yourself that this too shall pass. Have faith in yourself and God

13) God doesn't give one person all the happiness and other person all the miseries. Every one has got their own set of happiness and difficulties.

14) Smile because it hardly goes unreturned.

15) Don't wait for big things to bring you happiness. Find happiness in little things of life as well.

16) Speak your mind, but also learn to keep your mouth shut sometimes.

Tears & Me

Unlike many people, I cry pretty easily. Not that I am a cry baby, people who know me can vouch for this but I simply have no qualms in crying and it isnt a ego problem for me at all.

My tear glands are super sensitive... I cry watching a touchy movie or seeing the people I love in pain.
You can see some good thick tears rolling down my cheeks when watching movies like Kuck Kuch hota hai, Dil to Pagal hai or any family drama..

People in the garb of being strong have done away with shedding tears. I believe the ones who feel are the ones who truly live and there is nothing wrong in expressing your emotions.

Once upon a time

I wonder with so many inventions we have screwed up our life more rather than making it better.

There was a time when people led a calm peaceful life... They were happy and satisfied.. and now the days have come where we have to learn the Art of Living ... Art of Breathing... :P
